Abir Mohsin

Abir is a Research Associate I at the Center for Human Brain Variation. He recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in Biochemistry and Neuroscience and a minor in Mathematics. While at UNC, he investigated the effects of psychedelics and alcohol on rodent neural activity in the Herman Lab and investigated the surface chemistry of functional nanomaterials in the Atkin Lab. He plans to pursue an MD/PhD investigating novel therapeutics for psychiatric illnesses.
